The storage hopper is designed to act as a buffer in a processing line, or between a processing line and packaging line. The storage hopper will be gradually filled from the top. An unloading conveyor is mounted at the bottom of the storage hopper, which can convey the produce out of the storage hopper. There’s a roof mounted over the unloading conveyor to reduce pressure.

The product is transported and rotated over rollers. The distance between the rollers increases, so as the product is being transported, it will fall from small to large between the rollers. The product falls onto a belt which continues transportation. Several belts are mounted for several grading sizes. Adjustable angles are mounted to get the size faster and give product more time to drop on the belt.

The even flow hopper is designed for buffering and dosing. The horizontal belt lowers as it is being filled, or lifted when the machine is emptying. Mostly the even flow hopper is used in front of a weighing machine or an optical sorter.
